Argo is a film that is based on true events, tells the sting operation that was carried out to rescue six Americans during the hostage crisis in Iran. That's why they decided to make a fake movie to get them out the country safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion this film has a mix of frames that is balanced between tension, suspense, drama and realism, so causes different emotions, has comedic moments and tense moments.
The performance of the characters I found seemed very real good according to what was happening, the situation of Iran was very believable because of the desperation that people who were manifesting seemed to have in their faces, also the scenery was really good, and the humorous and emotional part that had the film, I think it´s what makes Argo a film highlight

This movie was based on real story. The movie "Argo" told the story about six people who were in Iran during the crisis that had the country.
ReplyDeleteWhen the Iranian revolution began to get stronger some people broke into the U.S. embassy and then the people started to take Americans. But despite the chaos, six of them manage to slip away and found refuge in the residence of the Canadian Ambassador.
They knew that soon they would come and find them and possibly they would be killed, the governments of Canada and the United States requests the help of the CIA, they found a specialist who can take out the people that is in Iran. The specialist had to think of a plan to take out the Americans safe and sound.
Finally, the specialist can take out the six people and they returned to their country safe and sound.

ReplyDeleteThis time as Director and Actor, Ben Affleck presents a new action movie called Argo.
It is based on real events, this drama-action film shows the operation to rescue six Americans, who escaped of the Iran hostage crisis; focusing on the details and information that was not declassified until many years after the event.
The story takes place in 1979, when some Iran citizens invaded the American Embassy in Tehran and several Americans were taken by hostages. Some way, six of them escaped to the residence of the Canadian Ambassador. In consequence, the CIA orders to Tony Mendez (Ben Affleck), to take them out using an amazing and clever but risky rescue strategy: creating a fake Canadian film project looking for shoot in Iran.
From my point of view, Argo is a movie that definitely pleased my expectations, despite not having too many special effects, is a great film to watch.

Ben Affleck proved to be an amazing director with a very good career and a future ahead. Argo It's a fascinating film, agile, dynamic and great creative resources.

ReplyDeleteOn November 4th, 1979, Iranian protesters attacked the U.S embassy located in Tehran taking 52 hostages but 6 of them cleverly ran away by an emergency exit. After this situation, the survivors went to the Canadian ambassador’s house in order to ask for shelter.
Immediately when the CIA was noticed about the riots in Iran, they got ready to prepare a plan so as to bring the hostages back. CIA called the agent Tony Mendez (Ben Affleck) so that he could lead the operation; somehow he was not certain at all and believed that the plan was not going to work out. Therefore, he had the idea of creating a fake science fiction movie like Star Wars or Star Trek, using to the hostages as the crew of the movie. As a matter of fact the rescue was dangerous and many people considered it as an “insane plan”, anyway Tony was able to save the 6 American hostages.
In my opinion, Argo is so wonderful that I recommend you to watch it if you want to know a bit more about history and CIA secret plans. It is sort of drama and thriller mixed in one film, with great actors as Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin, John Goodman and Ben Affleck who at the same time is the director of the movie.

ReplyDeleteThis is a true history , on November 4, 1979, Iranian students storm the U.S. embassy in Tehran in retaliation for President Jimmy Carter (president of the United States in that moment), gave asylum to the Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi(king of Iraq) in the Iranian Revolution. While in the embassy, people try to destroy the remaining files on data from Jimmy Carter, six Americans escaped at the Canadian embassy that day.
The state of the United Stated have a plan to rescued then for that they have a plan ; one agent of the CIA called his son in this night and the boy said he was watching a science fiction movie in that moment he have the idea to made a fake movie called then he travel to Hollywood to talk with one director, the director accepted the false movie Argo, argo is a science fiction book , the united states send a one agent of the CIA to make the false movie and to rescued then. When they are in the airport have much problems to cross, but then they didn’t have problem to cross and take the plane the guards knew they were American but it was too late.
That s a real history for me it was a awesome movie I liked the acting, one the characters was a one men of the CIA his name is Tony Mendez, in many parts of the movie have special effects this film also win the Oscar in 2012

ReplyDeleteThis movie is about six people that got kidnapped form iranian people and the people from US tries to rescue them by doing some things, but the men in charge was Tony Mendez, and CIA agent. He thought that maybe he could be part of a science fiction movie to cheat those iranian people.
The special effects are good, you can actually live the moment and get involved in the whole movie. Characters are really great, the feel the moment as well, the plot is kinda boring an the beginning, but when the story goes on, i'ts really interesting and exciting.
In my opinion, the movie is really good, well done and catchy. If you're the type of person that loves war you gotta see it, the plot, the moments are really sick! But in case you don't have the foggiest idea of who directed this movie, well, ben affleck did this movie, as an actor and a director. You gotta see it

Argo is based on the "Canadian Caper" that took place during the Iran hostage crisis in 1979 and 1980.
Many militants stormed the U.S. embassy and took as prisoners some Americans. Six of them manage to escape and find refuge at Canadian ambassador's residence.
As part of the rescue mission, the six house guests would pose as a Canadian film crew who’ve travelled to Iran to scout a location for a science fiction epic.
I think it is a gripping and exciting story that is mostly true and authentic. Its a well-told story. And also good for people who are really interested about history. Ben Affleck made a really good job with this movie , so the Oscar’s that Argo won was really deserved

It's a very creative film, suspenseful and above all very good. With excellent participation and leadership of Ben Affleck, who won the Oscar for best film and best direction.

It starts telling us about the Iranian Revolution and from there the magic completely absorbs us, the film focuses primarily on the true story of the rescue of six people who could scape and took refuge in the Canadian embassy.
The movie has a very well script, without any equivocation and the narrative makes Argo really suitable for all audiences, this doesn't mean it's for kids, but it is so easy to see that even the more conventional can enjoy it.
The real Tony Mendez, after seeing Argo, commented in an interview that it caused him a deep emotion to make him remember all the moments he lived, although some details were changed, is quite faithful to what really happened in those days.
The success of this film has made many people interested in the real history of this event.

It tells the story of six americans who escaped the attacks of the iranians activists during the revolution of Iran, taking more than 50 people as hostages. The six americans who escaped hide in the home of the ambassador of Canada in Iran, they were later rescued by CIA operative Tony Mendez.
The movie is very tense, exciting and sometimes surprisingly funny. The important thing about Argo is that is a true story and that makes it believable.
It's a really good film and to me there isn't a doubt of why it won the Oscar for Best Picture, it truly deserved it, so if anyone of you classmates didn't watched it or didn't payed much attention you have to see it because I personally think that is one of the best movies that I've ever seen.
